Resumes and Interviews with Tom Shannon well received

Over 35 people showed up to hear tom Shannon’s expert advice on Resumes and Interviewing.   Tom started out with general formatting tips and then quickly moved into what to include and exclude in each section. The beginning of your resume is your objective and the content that follows it should all drive toward supporting the initial objective you stated at the beginning. So just like a good paper your first paragraph is a synopsis of the whole paper and the following paragraph back it up.

Tom also used examples to demonstrate how to improve the appearance and overall content. One student even let him use his resume as an example and while Tom pointed out a few mistakes come career fair his resume will look sharp thanks to his suggestions.

Jon is also a 5th degree black belt so don’t get out of line during the workshop.

During the workshop you will create a data driven website using SQL and ASP.Net as if the basic specification was given by a program manager. Jon will discuss both the why and the how of the process along the way.
